About Us

Nestled in the rolling hills of Sydenham Township, Stranks Family Farms has been part of this land for six generations. Farming runs in our family, and the lessons we’ve learned here — from soil to seasons, bees to grains — are part of who we are.

My grandfather taught me the rhythm of the land and the care that real agriculture demands. From an early age, I knew that my passion lay in growing, tending, and raising animals and plants, nurturing them carefully and respectfully, and understanding the life that connects us to the earth.

Every step of what we do — from sowing seeds, tending hives, raising animals, to packaging our honey, flour, and other whole foods — is guided by one principle: care. Care for the land, care for the animals, care for the bees, and care for the people who will eventually enjoy what we produce. Our goal is simple: to deliver food that is whole, high-quality, and as nature intended.

We believe in living simply and intentionally, and we want our food to help others do the same. In a world filled with noise and haste, the meals we share with family and friends should be moments of connection — with each other, with the land, and with the natural rhythm of life.

At Stranks Family Farms, our deepest desire is to share this way of living with others. Through our honey, flour, grains, and other farm products, we hope to offer a taste of simplicity, care, and connection — food that nourishes the body and the family,.

  • Organic Farmers

We only source Certified Organic crops from farmers we don't know personally. In this case we trust the third party endorsement that they are grow/raising without synthetics ect.

  • Small Scale Regenerative

With farmers (especially small scale) that we know, and can verify their practises, we don not require Organic Certification. However, we only partner with other farmers who use regenerative practises without the use of synthetics ect.

  • Local

We prioritize sourcing our products from as local as possible. If we cannot find the product locally, we prioritze within the province. However their are some prodcuts that simply cannot be sourced from within our province. In that case we source from certified oversees suppliers. (ie. Coconut Oil. I havnt seen any palm trees here lately)

  • Beekeeping

Unfortunately, we cannot be certified organic with our own beekeeping. In order for bees to be certified organic, the hives need to be 3 kilometers from any sprays or GMOs. In our area we cannot verify that.

We do however, only use organic treatments with our bees and continue to implement regenerative practises
